Khao Man Gai Thod

For lunch today, I prepared a Thai Khao Mun Gai Thod ( ข้าวมันไก่ทอด ). And I took some shortcuts.

Rad Na Tao Hu

For lunch today, I prepared a Thai Rad Na Tao Hu ( ราดหน้าเต้าหู้ ) with rice noodles, tofu, baby corn, yard long beans and thickened sauce with yellow bean paste.

Gaeng Gari Gai

At lunchtime today, I prepared a Thai Gaeng Gari Gai ( แกงกะหรี่ไก่ ) with chicken, baby corn, yard long beans, and cherry tomatoes.

Tom Kha Gai Sai Maprao On

After a long hike, I prepared a Thai Tom Kha Gai Sai Ma Prau On ( ต้มข่าไก่ใส่มะพร้าวอ่อน ) with chicken, young coconut, and the new Tom Kha Paste from Yak Thai in the evening.

Yam Khanom Jeen

During my lunch break today I prepared a Thai Yam Khanom Jeen ( ยำขนมจีน ) with moo yor, prawns and tomatoes.

Gaeng Massaman Man Thet

This morning I prepared a Thai Gaeng Massaman Man Thet ( แกงมัสมั่นมันเทศ ) with sweet potatoes for lunch. If I had omitted or replaced the fish sauce, it would have even been vegan.

Yum Makuea and Sai Ua

This evening I pan-fried Northern Thai Sai Ua ( ไส้อั่ว ). As a side dish, there was a Yum Makuea Matua ( ยำมะเขือมะตัว ) with eggplants, snake beans, bell peppers and minced meat. The recipe for the salad comes from the book “The Food of Northern Thailand” by Austin Bush.

Salad and Khanom Jeep Ga Prau

For dinner, I made steamed Khanom Jeep Moo Sap Ga Prau ( ขนมจีบหมูสับกะเพรา ) with the new Ga Prau sauce from Yak Thai. To accompany the spicy dumplings, there was a Yum Fak Thong Thod ( ยำฟักทองทอด ) with pumpkin from the air fryer, minced meat and peanuts.

Today I received my package with all the new products from Yak Thai. I already have a few ideas about what I’m going to cook with them.

Mussels at Storchen

I can’t really get excited about autumn, but I still look forward to the start of mussel season every year.

Hed Nueng Nam Prik Kha

This evening I tried another recipe from Austin Bush’s book The Food of Northern Thailand. It was steamed mushrooms with a spicy galangal chili dip, or in Thai Hed Nueng Nam Prik Kha ( เห็ดนึ่งน้ำพริกข่า ).

Tom Dok Mai Jin Hed Hom

For dinner I prepared a Chinese-Thai Tom Dok Mai Jin Hed Hom ( ต้มดอกไม้จีนเห็ดหอม ) with pork spare ribs, dried lily flowers and shiitake mushrooms.

Khao Mok Gai

For lunch today I prepared a type of Khao Mok Gai ( ข้าวหมกไก่ ) with leftover rice. It was served with chicken drumsticks from the air fryer.

Yum Kra Jiab Moo Sap Goong

For lunch today I prepared another Thai Yum Kra Jiab ( ยำกระเจี๊ยบ ). This time a bit more elaborate with carrots, shrimp and minced meat.

Salad and Stir-Fry

Tonight I prepared Khua Khae Gai ( คั่วแคะไก่ ) from Northern Thailand. As a side dish, there was also a simple salad with okra or in Thai Yum Kra Jiab ( ยำกระเจี๊ยบ ).

Yum Sapparot Phuket

For dinner tonight there was a Southern Thai salad with pineapple and shrimp. The recipe for this Yum Sapparot Phuket ( ยำสับปะรดภูเก็ต ) comes from the book “Thailand: The Cookbook” by Jean-Pierre Gabriel.
